Concerto Competition Music Donations Drive

Now in its forty-eighth year, the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra continues to delight audiences with outstanding concerts and innovative, community focused programs – including Kids' Proms concerts, Composer Workshops, commissions of special works from leading Australian composers, and the NSW Secondary Schools Concerto Competition.

Since 1984, the Concerto Competition has been a key stepping stone for young musicians on their way to a professional career. The list of previous winners reflects the names of many well-known personalities in the music world, such as Amy Dickson, Natalie Chee, Grace Clifford and Simon Tedeschi.

Vital to the success of our annual Concerto Competition is the acquisition of the many orchestral parts required for each year's finals concert. This is made feasible in part through the strategic purchase of key repertoire, so that we may in future avoid renting some of the parts required.

This year, in the 34th year of the competition, we hope to raise up to $2,500 for the purchase of music for this prestigious annual event. Would you please consider contributing towards this goal?

All donations over $2 are tax deductable. By donating, you can help to support Australia's young and talented musicians and improve your own tax return. Thank you for helping to bring our dreams to fruition.
